Fund Controller - Einstieg in Private Equity (m/f/d)

The Fund Controller (m/w/d) plays a key role in Afinum's financial team. It is the interface between numbers, strategy and trust. His mission is to ensure, through transparency, accuracy and structure, that investors and management can act on a stable financial basis, today and in the future. The function in question is responsible for reporting, controlling and liquidity management of the fund structures, working closely with the CFO, the investment team, investors and external partners such as the auditor or the outsourced accounting. Their task is to make the financial architecture of the funds transparent, efficient and future-proof and thus make a significant contribution to the professional management of the investment activities. The Fund Controller ensures that investors, management and financial supervision have a precise, reliable and meaningful picture of the financial situation and performance of the funds at all times. In terms of content, this means responsibility for the financial backbone of the fund structures, from the collection of the performance data of the fund holdings, from investor reporting to liquidity management. The Fund Controller organizes capital retrievals, distributions and the installation of liquid resources correctly, comprehensible and timely. The Fund Controller is responsible for the Investor Q&A, providing investors with valuable analyses and forecasts and answering their questions. Investor reporting is central to the Fund Controller. All relevant data of the holdings and the funds shall be prepared precisely, on time and meaningfully. This includes, in particular, the assessment of fund holdings, including the determination of fair values based on performance and market data, in close coordination with the investment team. In addition, the Fund Controller creates detailed performance analyses and a medium-term and long-term planning (so-called Fund Projections) to classify the development of individual holdings and funds in the market and competition environment. These analyses provide valuable policy bases for management, investors and fund strategy. Another focus is the creation of quarterly and annual reports, cash flow and liquidity reports, as well as the reporting of key figures. This is not just about figures, but about clear, comprehensible narratives that make the economic progress and the value development of the funds understandable.

Completed economic studies or comparable qualifications Multiannual professional experience in a WP company (Next10) and/or in a medium-sized capital management company Experience in Financial Modeling Valuation and Reporting Very good user knowledge in Excel as well as the use of various controlling and reporting instruments Embossed Analytical Skills Communication strength, enforcement ability and team orientation
