The Brandenburg IT service provider (ZIT-BB) is the central IT service provider for the direct state administration of Brandenburg and stands for efficient and professional IT services from a single source. The extensive portfolio of tasks in the field of police IT infrastructure includes the planning, control and operation of Microsoft and Unix-based infrastructures as well as IT terminal equipment and the provision and operation of the security specialist networks, the local networks in the departments including: Language and data communication.

As part of our technical team, you will be responsible for central IT systems that are indispensable for the safe and smooth running of the Brandenburg Police. You bring your expertise into modern network and IT security architectures and grow with every technical challenge.

Zossen OT Wünsdorf or Potsdam are available as a working location. Please enter the preferred place of use as part of your application. The readiness for occasional short journeys to the respective other location is assumed. The department comprises three subject areas with 40 employees at 5 locations. For the cross-architecture and control level, we are looking for a lecturer role. You set targets and standards, control the implementation of the cross-border project and action portfolio and ensure that priorities, risks and operational maturity are matched across all fields.

Your new area of responsibility includes: coordination and cross-disciplinary technical management of the fields of Windows systems, networks and communication as well as central systems Strategic planning to develop and implement sustainable target architectures and modern operating models Conceptual participation and implementation of cloud architecture strategies with a focus on a holistic, scalable and future-oriented system landscape derivation and conceptual implementation of regulatory requirements – in particular from data protection and information security – in the context of modern IT workstation solutions Management and coordination of strategic projects in cooperation with stakeholders Control of external service providers and control of the services provided Implementation of cost-effectiveness studies and participation in procurement measures

Forced required: You have completed academic education (Master/Uni-Diplom), preferably in one of the fields of computer science, economics, mathematics, administrative sciences or a comparable field of study, as well as relevant professional experience Alternatively, you have the conditions for the recognition of equivalent skills and experience in the required environment and corresponding activities We require good knowledge of the German language (at least C1 level)

Selection criteria: Very good knowledge in handling IT-based, IT-application and IT-system and communication technologies (IuK) Knowledge of the implementation of modern IT system architectures in public administration (e-government) or the economy Confidence with concepts and principles of modern IT architectures in data center and IT operations as well as the ability to further develop these conceptually Experience in the professional management and management of employees and working groups Experience in the field of project management and process control Analytic conceptual skills, a high degree of self-responsibility and a structured and solution-oriented approach Knowledge of data protection and information security You have a passenger ticket and would be willing to carry a service car The willingness to accept readiness would be desirable
