April 2026 Reference number 1/63 (please specify) The Youth Office is the institution of public youth assistance. The task is to promote the education and development of young people. Around 800 people work in the entire youth office. In the Internal Administration department there are 27 employees in the areas of general administration, registrature, household and promotion.

Head of budget, financial and accounting Activities in households, financial and accounting, including:

• leading budget management and coordination of the entire budget of the Youth Office
• target- and result-oriented planning, implementation and control of resources and measures within the transferred responsibility area (budget and supplementary budgets of the Youth Office)
• Advising the management and departments within the area of responsibility with regard to financial resources still available, as well as identifying opportunities for efficient use of resources
• information and support for the implementation of the budget within the Youth Office and for border cases
• Advice and support of colleagues in the field of expertise and other departments of the Youth Office
• technical work-up of the facts and compressed presentation (reporting) as a basis for decision-making for political leaders
• Creation of magistrate reserves

Bachelor's or career examination for the top general administration (graduate degree: Bachelor of Arts – Public Administration or a. officials with a career examination for the middle general administrative service who have acquired the competence for the upper general administrative service through an increase in experience; or a completed training for the administrative specialist; or a completed university degree (at least Bachelor) of subjects Public Administration or Public Management or a comparable qualification many years of relevant professional experience (from 3 years) Professional experience in personnel and staff management very good knowledge in the field of household, cash and accounting extensive experience and safety in dealing with complex budgetary and financial operations Teamability, resilience and conflictability good oral and written expressability Screenability The following are also desirable: readiness to work quickly into changing and complex situations comprehensive knowledge of the Doppik Knowledge of social legislation (SGB VIII and XII) Knowledge of the “New System Local” accounting program Basic knowledge of the “PARLIS” programme well-founded MS Office knowledge
