Active participation and further development of the company-wide data warehouse and BI landscape Independent design and implementation of solutions to replace the existing Cognos system with Power BI Ensuring stable, performant and future-oriented data architecture Close cooperation with specialist areas to translate technical requirements into technical BI and DWH solutions

Your daily businessReal design, development and operation of ETL streams with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Connection, standardization and validation of data sources to the central data warehouse Processing and integration of data from Microsoft SQL Server (priority 1), PostgreSQL (priority 2) and DB2 (priority 3, in particular in the Cognos environment) Data modelling for analytical purposes (e.g. Star- and Snowflake-Schemata) Performance optimization of ETL processes, database queries and charging processes Monitoring, analysis and correction of errors in data charging and ETL processes Support for the migration of existing reports and data structures from the Cognos environment into a modern BI solution Documentation of data models, ETL processes and interfaces

Knowledge gained in the field of data warehouse architectures and solutions in connection with sound knowledge of computer science, business informatics or a comparable IT-related area, a completed study in this environment is advantageous Experience in the independent conception, implementation and optimization of data warehouse and BI solutions Very good SQL identifiers, especially on Microsoft SQL Server Found experience in the development, monitoring and optimization of ETL routes with SSIS Good knowledge of PostgreSQL or the willingness to work quickly Experience with DB2, ideally in the environment of IBM Cognos, of advantage Experience in modeling relational data structures for analytical purposes Analytical thinking, high self-initiative and a structured and quality-oriented way of working
