Public Cloud Architect (m/w/d)

The SIGNAL IDUNA plans to expand the cloud platform and infrastructure and is looking for experienced and highly motivated experts: in the cloud architecture environment with the focus on Google Cloud. As a public cloud architect:in you drive the cloud transformation and are responsible for the technological design, implementation of the platform and support of the operation. You work in an agile, interdisciplinary team with the opportunity to develop your own skills and skills.

Your responsibilities

• Creation, implementation and optimization of framework concepts for cloud-based infrastructures and applications
• You design and operate cloud architectures as part of our workload migrations in the Google Cloud
• Further development and continuous improvement of the Signal Iduna Platforms in Google Cloud
• Establishing standardized processes and mechanisms as well as consulting in the implementation and commissioning of workloads in the Google Cloud
• Participation in the development/implementation of cloud security concepts
• You use modern methods for automation, deployment (CI/CD) and further development of infrastructures and services in the public cloud
• You develop architectural policies and promote projects with modern architecture standards in the public cloud environment

You

• have relevant experience in the field of public cloud (AWS, Azure, preferably GCP) and infrastructure and platform services based on it as well as the operation of IT solutions and are open to new trends
• have completed studies or comparable qualifications in the field of IT
• have well-founded experiences and successes in cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment and their stable and secure operation with at least one cloud provider
• has knowledge of modern IT architectures (research focuses on cloud, devOps, data, business architecture, micro services, software architecture, infrastructure architecture)
• ideally has cloud certifications, we are happy to offer you further trainings with certifications
• ideally has knowledge of industrial standards, guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements from the insurance and financial environment
• have an agile, structured and solution-oriented mode of operation
• has a strong communication and team skills as well as excellent knowledge of German and English languages
