We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious postdoctoral fellow to conduct research in the field of Alzheimer's disease and the Frontotemporal Dementia Spectrum. The research project will be focused to understand molecular drivers of neurodegeneration and to understand howinflammatory, life style and environmental factors modulate these processes. The position is embedded in a national and international research network, as well as in the Cluster of Excellence, ImmunoSensation3 and the German Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases, DZNE, offering a competitive and thriving environment. The project wants leverage data from multicentre disease and vulnerable population based cohorts and databases, including (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomic as well as cognitive and clinical data. .

Conduct and development of statistical analysis of cohort study, proteomic and multiomics data and their links to disease phenotypes Interpretation and interdisciplinary discussion of research results Design and implementation of own research ideas to improve early detection of neurodegenerative diseases Presentation of analysis results, scientific including conferences Drafting and revising manuscripts Preparation of grant applications Providing guidance to junior researchers
University degree (PhD) in biomedical sciences, bioinformatics, or a similar subject Strong background in computational biology, biostatistics, epidemiology, or similar disciplines Experience in the advanced analysis of epidemiological, proteomic, genetic, multiomics data analysis, multivariate statistics and modelling Result-oriented and independent approach to work An interest in interdisciplinary research and openness to working across disciplinary boundaries High communication skills and excellent command of English motivated, flexible, team oriented and interested in continued professional development.
