Activity description: Take good decisions and build a team that runs underwriting with responsibility and ophthalmology. As a lead underwriter*in, you'll lead a small team and bring your experience to decisive moments. Leadership and further development of a small underwriting team with clear prioritization and focus on good, sustainable results Underwriting of new and extended sea transport risks as part of our policies and with a view to a balanced portfolio Analysis of applications, damage history and damage rates as the basis for price and underwriting decisions Accompanying complex and large-volume shops from request to offer Ensuring compliance with underwriting powers and regulatory and governance requirements Close cooperation with damage, data and sales teams for early detection of risk trends and for the best possible customer experience

Multiannual underwriting experience, ideally complemented by an insurance or underwriting-related qualification Leadership experience and ability to control team achievements and set priorities Secure handling of numbers as well as good Excel knowledge for analysis and reporting High detail accuracy and pronounced analytical thinking, with a secure view for data and details Very good communication and negotiation capabilities in exchange with internal and external contacts Very good knowledge of German and English – French or Italian are a plus
