Technician/Engineer Design – Repair & Manufacturing in Shipbuilding (m/f/d)

Technical challenges turn you into sophisticated design solutions – whether for manufacturing, repair or rebuilding projects. You will create the conditions for economic and timely implementation. Damage images, inventory documents and technical specifications analyze carefully and develop designs that are characterized by high practicality, feasibility and quality. Together with costing, manufacturing, customers, classification societies and suppliers, you agree on technical details and combine different requirements for a viable solution. From your designs, resilient foundations for project planning are created: You determine work content, derive material requirements and support precise calculation. The direct exchange with production allows you to continuously develop constructions, identify optimization potentials and improve repair and rebuilding processes sustainably.

A completed study in the field of mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and marine engineering, maritime technology or a further development to the technician (m/w/d) in the field of machine or shipbuilding technology forms the technical basis for this position. Experience in construction – ideally in shipbuilding, steel construction or plant construction – gives you the equipment to safely evaluate technical questions and to develop economic solutions. CAD tools in the 2D and 3D areas are available. At the same time, you bring a good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and keep thinking of constructions until practical implementation. Knowledge of classification-relevant rules, such as DNV or Lloyd's Register, as well as experience with ERP systems are advantageous and support you in efficient project execution. You work structured, take responsibility for your results and keep track of complex tasks. Communication strength and good knowledge of English facilitate cooperation with interdisciplinary teams and international contacts.
