Linux Operating System Engineer (m/f/d)

As part of the Trusted Endpoint Suite for Dell developer team, you will develop the VS workstation solution of the future for DELL laptops. With the lightweight solution, we achieve maximum security in the implementation of VS requirements even outside the end-user operating system without having to limit basic performance on the system by continuing to provide all non-safety-relevant system components, such as the graphics card, to the virtualized end-user operating system.

• You develop a VS workstation solution for Linux & Windows and focus on the Linux distribution you use.

• You develop and update Linux system components as well as packages.

• You take care of the package management, in particular the software update and the provision of your own packages.

• You carry out CVE management and security reviews.

• You work together with the team on the approval process for VS‐NfD.

• You have profound knowledge of the development and maintenance of Linux distributions.

• You know the package management in Linux using at least an established distribution.

• You bring ideal knowledge of C/C++ development, Bash scripting or Python.

• Ideally, you have experience in CVE management and security reviews.

• You are with the approval process for VS‐NfD or CC-Evaluations familiar (a clear plus point).

• You have very good knowledge of German and English.
