Senior Expert Information Security (m/f/d)

You advise management, departments, projects, service providers as well as the operational IT and OT on demanding information security issues and support the implementation of regulatory requirements. You continue to create, evaluate and develop safety concepts, safety requirements and technical and organizational measures (TOM) and accompany their implementation in the BGE. You plan, control and support complex information security projects, audits, security assessments and service provider checks and support the continuous improvement of the information security level. You create safety assessments and decision-making templates for management, departments and projects and support the professional development of information security within the BGE. You act as a central technical interface between information security, operational IT and OT, coordinate cross-site information security and OT security issues, promote technical exchange with IT security officers at the sites and support the uniform implementation of security requirements within BGE.

You have a degree in computer science, information security, business informatics or a comparable qualification. You have several years of professional experience in the field of information security, IT governance, compliance or comparable tasks. You have experience in creating security concepts, implementing regulatory requirements and monitoring audits and safety assessments. You have well-founded knowledge of BSI IT basic protection, relevant ISO-2700x standards and modern information security and IT security measures. Experiences in managing complex projects as well as knowledge in the environment of OT security, critical infrastructures or industrial systems are advantageous. You are convinced with a pronounced affinity for information security, IT governance and regulatory requirements. with sound expertise and the ability to independently analyze complex security issues and develop practical solutions. with communication strength and consulting competence as well as the ability to convey technical and organisational matters to the target group. with a high level of sense of responsibility, self-initiative and enforcement. with a structured, analytical and solution-oriented mode of operation as well as a pronounced understanding of inter-area relationships.
