Are you excited about adventures at high sea and bring a passion for science and technology? Then you should enter this job: As an engineer (m/w/d) for shipbuilding and marine engineering, you can make our ships ready for the seven world seas. You are involved in the planning, construction and implementation of refit and repair projects in shipbuilding and act as a competent respondent. During your studies, you will find a valuable treasure of scientific foundations. In parallel, you will complete a training as a construction mechanic (m/w/d) in the field of shipbuilding. Both together prepare you optimally for your career. In the first year you are on our shipyard and start to gain practical experience in manufacturing. In the second year of teaching, your lectures start at the University of Bremen. In the lecture-free times and in the practical semester, you are in operation and work in engineering departments where you can participate, for example, in the construction of ship components as well as perform weight tests and stability analyses. With us you get a lot of insights into the practice: you learn to react flexibly to individual customer requests, and familiarize yourself with the current technical development. Study duration: approx. 4.5 years (1 previous year of practice + 7 semesters) Place of study: Hochschule Bremen Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.)
