Tasks

• You are responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of financial reporting according to IFRS and HGB, development and implementation of relevant controls and the creation of technical accounting Memoranda.
• They help to ensure the IFRS compliance of Group Financial Reporting, create accurate and timely monthly consolidated financial reports and optimize financial reporting incl. Use and Optimization of Financial Reporting Software (Disclosure Management Tool).
• They participate in special projects such as Mundamp;A, IT implementation and harmonisation of accounting processes, as well as monitoring the application of relevant standards in complex projects (e.g. IFRS 15 in shipbuilding).
• They contribute to the compliance and implementation of capital market requirements in a listed environment.
• They advise and support business units in accounting-related issues, in particular on IFRS and HGB rules, and are the contact person for auditors as part of the (Group) audit.

Profile

• They bring a completed study, ideally focusing on accounting/audit or finance.
• They have several years of professional experience, preferably in a comparable function in the group accounting system of a listed company or in an audit firm.
• You have comprehensive knowledge of the application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Commercial Code (HGB) as well as experience in the implementation and optimization of IFRS processes and governance.
• You have already gained in-depth expertise in at least two complex accounting areas (e.g. Lease Accounting, Impairment Testing, Revenue Recognition).
• Your distinct, independent and structured way of working, your analytical thinking and your enforcing ability are characterized.
• Your good communication skills, in German and English as well as user knowledge in financial reporting software (Disclosure Management Tools), ERP systems as well as the Office packages complete your profile.
