VP Production / Head of Production (on behalf of a leading industrial company)

Your mission You build a powerful, scalable production organization with clear roles, effective leadership routines, transparent performance control and a stable planning and material flow system (including Kanban logic and unambiguous warehouse responsibility). Your duties

1. Leadership & Development Discipline and professional leadership of the subordinate group leaders and teams in production. 100MA Systematic development of group leaders (coaching, feedback, clear expectations, consistent implementation). Building a reliable, performance-oriented leadership culture including Conflict management and change support. Two. Further development of the operating structure – together as a management team Active participation and further development of the operations organization together with all the participating executives (Production, Manufacturing, Service Operations) – as a leadership team to realize the next step in the company. Establishing a clear operating cadence (leading routines, control communication, reviews, escalation logic) and transparency about goals, priorities and bottlenecks.
2. Production planning & control (end-to-end) Implementation and stabilization of a reliable production planning (planning → fine planning → implementation) with a focus on realistic, feasible plans and high congruence between planning and production structuring of production orders (e.g. bundling in “production order packages” across process chains) and consistent compliance/control together with AV and production Use and further development of the system/process bases for production planning, implementation and feedback (ERP/process concepts)
3. Kanban implementation & clear bearing/material responsibility Further development and implementation of a Kanban system for stabilizing inventory control and production flow – including transparent status/metric number overviews. Building a clear warehouse organization with clear responsibilities Five. Interface guide & bridge formation Building of loadable interfaces and common routines with the responsible VPs – goal: fast, coordinated decisions and effective implementation (e.g. ERP/Planning Processes, Investment, Headcount/Qualification, Change). Close cooperation with quality, engineering and operations pillars
4. Performance, Quality, Compliance KPI-based control of production (output, quality, delivery reliability, productivity) and consistent derivation/following of improvement measures. ensuring quality and regulatory compliance in the production environment; Support for audits and implementation of audit-relevant measures.

Must-have Multiannual leadership experience in a manufacturing environment – proven as a People Manager (ideally leadership over executives). Strong in leadership clarity, coaching, organisational development and consistent implementation. Very good understanding of production characteristics and performance control. Experience in regulated industries (e.g. medical technology, automotive, pharmaceutical) and audit environment German, advanced in English Nice-to-have Experience with Kanban/Pull systems, Shopfloor management, Lean/KVP. Experience with ERP/Planning Systems and Material Economic Processes (storage location, disposition, commissioning).
