In 3 years of study you acquire the state-approved degree ''Bachelor of Engineering''. As part of this study, we offer the course “General Mechatronics”. This top degree is your key to the future: a sought-after training course offered by Howden and the Dual University of Baden Württemberg (DHBW). In parallel with lectures, internships and exercises of the DHBW, training and practice sections are held at Howden, which are adapted to the theoretical part of the DHBW. We offer you a link between scientific teaching and application-related practice. Customer and service-oriented thinking and acting is just as important to us as project- and team-oriented work. After your studies, you have extensive technical, methodological, economic and personal skills and are therefore well equipped to face the diverse challenges in the various tasks and business areas.

Content of the practical phases of study During “Your practical phases at Howden Turbo you will be intensively prepared for the activities of our Field Service Specialists and will work actively in our service organization from the outset. You accompany international operations at our customers and start operating state-of-the-art industrial plants such as steam turbines and turbo compressors. You then pass the plants to the future operator. You are the interface to our customers, thanks to preventive maintenance for trouble-free operation, and in the service case you are the expert on site who evaluates the condition of the components and, in cooperation with specialists, ensures the high quality of our systems and systems. In addition, you will learn about our products and interface departments (project management, construction, development) in an internal factory run. Internal trainings will also prepare you for your future activity. Content of the theoretical phases of study In basic studies the subjects mathematics, physics, basics of electrical engineering, computer science, basics mechanical engineering (technical mechanics and engineering teaching), mechatronic systems are taught. The basic course is followed by a specialized study: Materials Science, BWL (Project Management, Law), Electronics, Robotics and Digitization, Electrical Machines, Automation Systems, Micro CPU Technology, Actorics and Sensorics.
