The Vivantes Klinikum Am Urban is a focus provider in the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and academic teaching hospital of the Charité. The clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics includes 220 beds/places as well as a crisis intervention station, two daily clinics and two institute hospitals. Special focuses include the early intervention center FRITZ, specialized therapy offers (IPT, DBT) and innovative treatments such as home treatment.

You can choose from the following areas when filling out the application form:

Station 03 – Crisis Intervention Center: Treatment of patients in acute psychosocial crisis situations with short-term stationary stabilization.

Station 04 – Borderline Personality Disorder: center of gravity for emotional regulation disorders; Treatment according to the concept of dialectic-behavioral therapy (DBT) with four integrated day clinics

Station 14 – Mental disorders in the higher age of life: Treatment of dementia, depression, schizophrenic diseases and addiction diseases in the multi-professional team.

Station 21 – Affective Disorders: Therapy of depression and bipolar disorders in a multi-professional individual and group therapy concept (extracted from IPT) with four integrated daily clinics and outpatient further treatment.

Station 23- Psychoseekrankung (ACT): Treatment of psychosis diseases with a focus on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in stationary or station equivalent settings.

Stations 31 / 32 – Protected stations (Safewards model): Intensive psychiatric care with 18 beds and individualized care in a protected environment.

Station 33 – Such diseases: Treatment of substance-bound addiction diseases with interdisciplinary therapeutic approach and with four integrated daily clinics

FRITZ – Early intervention and therapy center: treatment of young adults (15–28 years) with first mental crises, especially first-manife centres of psychosis; multi-professional therapy and early intervention concept; with four integrated day clinics and adolescence treatment

StäB team (station equivalent treatment): Looking for psychiatric treatment in the home environment by multiprofessional home-treatment team s to avoid stationary stays.

Integrated day clinics: Flexible combination of stationary and semi-stationary treatment allows individual, continuous therapy. Patients/patients remain more involved in everyday life, declines can be reduced and the success of therapy can be improved sustainably. At the same time, close cooperation between the treatment teams is encouraged.

Work according to the Safewards model: All ten Safewards interventions are implemented at the stations. The focus is on evaluating communication, security and deescalation. Training strengthens the prevention of violence and expands the possibilities of action of employees, which also contributes to higher employee satisfaction.

Supply and Priority: At four locations we take over the psychiatric care of children and young people. In addition to the treatment of various children and youth psychoatrical disorders, there are national offers for substance abuse and dependency disorders in young people as well as for psychotherapy. Other focuses are binding disorders/binding psychotherapy, psychosomatics, trauma treatment, sexual medicine and toddler psychiatry.
