(Senior) IT Procurement Manager at Burda Procurement (m/f/d)

You are responsible for group-wide procurement and transformation projects – from demand specification to make-or-buy decisions, TCO analyses and competitive bidding to successful implementation. You work out category and sourcing strategies and advance Cost Transformation, Value Engineering and Supplier Portfolio Optimizations. You take over the development of governance, performance and escalation models for strategic IT suppliers, the implementation of Executive Business Reviews and the identification of potentials for Supplier Development and Innovation. In addition, you are responsible for contract and risk management including license, SaaS, cloud and managed services contracts, SLAs, data protection, audit rights, exit clauses and Vendor lock-in management. You are a trusted business partner for CIO, CTO, CFO and our senior leadership and translates technological, economic and risk-related relationships into resilient management decisions, business cases and recommendations for action. You control cross-disciplinary and international projects, moderate Steering Committees and accompany innovation processes such as cloud and SAP transformations, AI introductions, outsourcing, Vendor consolidation and cost transformation – even without disciplinary leadership.

You have successfully completed a commercial, economic, technical or comparable study. You have several years of experience in strategic IT procurement, IT category management or in a comparable strategic purchasing function – ideally in a group-like environment or comparable structures. You have profound experience in IT services, SaaS, Cloud Transformation, Supplier Relationship Management and contract and risk management. You understand relevant technology topics such as IT infrastructure, cyber security, AI and hyperscaler – for example Microsoft, AWS, SAP, Google, Oracle or Adobe – and can talk to relevant stakeholders at eye level. You work analytically, structured and data-based and can combine economic, technological, legal and risk-related aspects to clear management decisions. You stand confidently, negotiate safely and convincingly and win stakeholders for joint solutions. Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing complete your profile.
