The Vivantes Humboldt-Klinikum in the north of Berlin is a clinic with a range of medical specialist departments and 640 beds, of which 116 are equipped with special comforts. Around 65,000 patients are treated each year, including 40,000 outpatients and 25,000 inpatients.

From the following stations you can choose your desired location. The selection is available after completing the application form:

Station 1 Safewards Station – The station acts as a protected emergency and crisis intervention area, an open medical treatment centre is also integrated. Here, people with mental illnesses that can be associated with personal and/or foreign risk are treated and accompanied professionally. The implemented Safewards model is the best tool for this. We focus on strengthening and promoting everyday competences of patients/patients. Our range of relationships, to patients/patients, is carrying in the treatment process.

Station 2 Here, the specific diagnosis and therapy of diseases in the higher age of life and neurodegenerative diseases takes place, for example dementia. Our nursing action is guided by needs-oriented, delirious and day-structuring measures and support services. The mobility and use of resources in everyday life, the patients/patients, is our heart. It is the basis for our daily commitment to patients. The station has 27 patient beds, 14 of them in the protected setting.

Station 3 A general psychiatric station, which offers a protected station environment and an openly guided area for patients/patients, with the focus of treatment bipolar affective diseases and acute temporary psychotic diseases. The nursing tasks – crisis management, strengthening the therapy partnership by orientation to the holistic needs of the patients/patients – are designed along nursing relationship work. As part of a multi-professional team, we are also involved in the implementation of nursing group activities and in permanent multi-professional exchange.
