Head of Engineering (m/f/d)

This is what awaits you with us: You develop the strategic orientation of our software area and make sure that it is in line with the corporate goals and strategy. You lead, promote and develop our development teams to high performing teams and establish a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning. In close cooperation with the Head of Product and Head of Customer Success, you ensure that product development is efficient and customer-oriented. You guarantee the stability, safety and scalability of our products and minimise technical debt. You opt for processes, identify bottlenecks and implement measures to increase efficiency and productivity. You actively pursue technology trends (especially in the field of AI) and their impact on modern software organizations, evaluate their relevance for our company, and integrate them strategically into our actions. You report directly to the management.

That's what you bring: You have a degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable qualification. You have several years of experience in a leading position in software development, ideally in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. You have a deep understanding of modern software development - both technologically and organizationally (for example, cloud architectures, test automation, CI/CD, ... in particular also using AI tools in development). You know B2B software and have experience in managing complex technical roadmaps as well as modernising legacy systems with a clear view for sustainable architectural decisions. Your excellent leadership skills allow you to motivate people in your sphere of influence, to strengthen self-organization, and to bring about joint change. You have a pronounced background in agile work and know yourself with appropriate methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban), ideally scaled with 5+ teams for the same product. You trade independently, clearly prioritise and keep an overview even in dynamic phases. You bring knowledge of German and English with you.
