Your job In the role as head of the Strategic Business Unit Planetarium at ZEISS, you are responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the strategy of our Planetariums division.

They bring your strategic concepts annually to the Board of Management and ensure that the objectives in the areas of price, product and assortment policy as well as product roadmap are effectively derived and implemented.

It is your responsibility to ensure profitability through the development of new markets and the support of the ZEISS brand value. They maintain contacts with key customers and represent our business unit at congresses, associations and in the public.

Together with the legal department and the sales companies, you are responsible for the contract negotiations and coordinate contractual steps.

They ensure a high level of service for the installed base of ZEISS planeteria around the world and use this specifically for the acquisition of new businesses. Based on market observations and market research, you will develop a product roadmap that includes both new developments and product announcements.

In the core areas of classic opto-mechanical projection, digital projection and planetarium software, drive product development according to Roadmap and ZEISS processes.

They guarantee efficient manufacturing structures and a smooth supply chain to ensure the highest quality standards and delivery reliability.

They optimise existing structures and processes audit-proof and promote digitization in all areas. In addition, you are responsible for the budget planning and monitoring of the unit and take the appropriate measures in case of deviations.

As a manager, you will develop your employees according to the company's management principles.

They have completed their studies in the field of natural sciences, complemented by sound business knowledge, or an economic study with good understanding of technological aspects.

Your strong leadership experience, ideally with GuV management, as well as international sales experience in the project business, will distinguish you.

Affinity for astronomy is desirable.

They have a strong negotiating skills in the intercultural context and act entrepreneurially. Your safe appearance and your convincing communication skills combine with a lively team capacity.

Their excellent knowledge of English in word and writing are safe from negotiation, and knowledge in another foreign language is advantageous.

They are ready to travel worldwide occasionally.
