Located right behind the main railway station, in the heart of St. Georges, the Deutsche SchauSpielHaus today looks back on over 125 years of moving theatre history. Founded in 1899 on a private initiative by Hamburger Bürger*innen, it is one of the most beautiful theatre buildings in Germany and, with its 1200 seats, is also one of the largest public theatres in the country. Namous intendants have shaped the character of the house and made it well known over the borders of Hamburg. The SchauSpielHaus also includes the MalerSaal and the RangFoyer, which serve as playgrounds for smaller productions, and since 2005 the Junge SchauSpielHaus, with its own playground at the Theaterzentrum in Hamburg-Barmbek. With around 20 premieres and over 500 performances per season, the SchauSpielHaus makes a significant contribution to the cultural life in the Hanseatic city.

Your role – this awaits you: Planning and implementation of the technical requirements for new productions in close cooperation with production teams, workshops and technical management Supporting samples, performances and guest games Instructions of specialists for event technology and implementation of stage images and remodeling during the performance Creation and implementation of production-related and general risk assessments and instructions Planning, construction and repair of decorations for sample purposes Maintenance, repair and cleaning of platform equipment and testing of location-changeable equipment according to DGUV

Your talent – this brings you: Successful completion as a tested master*in for event technology or equivalent qualification Professional experience in theatre operations with knowledge of specific theatre technology First leadership experience in a comparable position

Funded and up-to-date knowledge in the field of general occupational health and safety, as well as the laws, regulations and prevention of accidents relevant to event technology Handicraft skills and cross-disciplinary technical understanding for all areas of event technology Safe handling of common Microsoft Office applications and CAD programs (preferably Autodesk AutoCAD) Very good German and good English skills in word and writing It is a fixed-term full-time agency with medical representation up to 31. July 26 with option to extend. The annual holiday will be granted in the course of the break, which depends on the summer holidays in Hamburg.
