At the city of Flensburg, a place is considered to be in the area of inhabitant service, protection and order as soon as possible.

(m/w/d) or official veterinarian (m/w/d)**

indefinitely with 15 to 19.5 hours per week after pay group 14 TVöD. The evaluation is currently under review.

There is a varied and highly interesting task that includes a wide range of veterinary tasks in food monitoring, animal welfare and animal health control in the city of Flensburg, as well as a motivated and committed team of esteemed colleagues.

Your tasks:

• Review of private and commercial animal husbandry under the animal welfare law
• veterinary tasks in food monitoring mainly in the field of BREXIT-related transport of animal food to the UK and other third countries
• implementation of animal health measures and controls on the health of private and commercial livestock
• Representation of the department management in absence after the incorporation

Your profile:

• completed university studies of veterinary medicine (master/uniform degree) and
• an Approbation as a veterinarian (m/w/d)
• a completed career qualification for category 2, 2. Health and social services (former career skills for higher veterinary services) is of advantage

Including professional experience in public veterinary matters is desirable.

In the case of foreign university degrees, the certificate assessment of the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required.

• Class B driving licence
• good IT skills (MS-Office package) and the willingness to learn how to deal with the specialist programs BALVI-IP, TSN and TRACES

Good knowledge of English is desirable.
