Our customer is an internationally active company in special machine construction and develops highly specialised technical systems for demanding applications. At the Salzgitter site complex machine solutions are created for international projects.

For the long-term reinforcement of the team, we are looking for a strategic buyer/strategic buyer (m/w/d) with technical understanding, analytical strength and a secure view for sustainable purchasing strategies.

Analysis of relevant procurement markets for identifying trends, risks and opportunities Evaluation and analysis of purchasing parts requirements as a basis for strategic purchasing decisions Development and implementation of sustainable product group strategies together with operational purchasing Design and development of contract and supplier structures Preparation and implementation of annual and price negotiations with national and international suppliers Control, evaluation and strategic development of the existing supplier portfolio Identification of sustainable cost and process optimization within the supply chain Observing market, material and raw material price developments and deriving appropriate measures Close cooperation with technical fields, project management and operational purchasing

Multiannual professional experience in strategic purchasing of a technical B2B environment, ideally in mechanical engineering or special machine construction Completed commercial or technical training, complemented by a suitable further education, e.g. specialist, farmer or comparable Alternatively, a completed degree in the area of purchasing, economic engineering, business management or comparable Knowledge of contract and supplier management Experience in supplier evaluation, supplier development and negotiation management Secure handling of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 / D365, and MS Office German and English skills Analytical thinking, enforcement strength and negotiation skills Structured, independent and result-oriented operation
