In Department 2 – Human Resources Management – the Bochum University of Applied Sciences is at the health campus site at the earliest possible time a place for the

to occupy. It is an unlimited full-time employment with a regular weekly working time of 39.83 hours; Parttime employment is generally possible.

As a service provider of the university, we take over administrative, legal and planning tasks and ensure the economic use of the budget. By aligning legal requirements and the interests of research and teaching, we create the conditions for a successful science business.

The staff department is responsible for the legally secure design of personal economic processes, is responsible for the collection of personnel and advises and supervises the employees in all personal-law issues including personal-law secondary areas. You deal with holiday and disease issues and contribute to the clarification of basic questions. You take over the personal care of the student and scientific assistants – from recruitment to continued employment to termination of employment. You provide expert advice on legal issues concerning the employment of assistants. You take over the issue and billing of teaching assignments You actively contribute to the digitization and further development of our administrative processes, e.g. the introduction of time management. You support the maintenance and further development of the website of the HR department.

A completed university degree (Bachelor), preferably with a focus on law, human resources management or in a comparable field. Alternatively, you have a commercial or administrative training or training suitable for the activity. a comparable professional qualification, e.g. as an administrative specialist, and relevant professional experience. An independent, structured and careful way of working, as well as the ability to keep an overview and set priorities even in the case of high work. Very good oral and written expressability. Safe handling of current MS Office applications. willingness and ability to work independently on new subject areas and legal issues. Interest in digital solutions and joy in actively shaping the digitalization of administrative processes. Good knowledge of labour law and good knowledge of English are advantageous.
