Junior / Senior Category Manager – Camping Equipment, Leisure & Outdoor (m/f/d)

As Category Manager (m/w/d), you are the CEO of your own product worlds. You not only manage, but actively shape the range of tomorrow: Assortment strategy & control: You carry the sales and earnings responsibility for your categories and control their entire life cycle. Customer-centric assortment design: In close coordination with sales, you will combine a market-oriented, inspiring product portfolio. Trendscouting & Innovation: You have the ear on the market, analyze competitors and customer needs and feel the camping trends of tomorrow. Product optimization: You continuously develop our assortment, optimize existing products and actively drive innovative own developments International Sourcing: You continue to expand our global supplier network, audit partners and conduct negotiations at eye level (prices, conditions, contracts). Stock management & price calculation: You ensure optimal availability of goods and are responsible for market-oriented pricing across all distribution channels.

Foundation: A completed study (BWL, economic engineering, etc.) or a comparable training with relevant professional experience in category management or strategic purchasing. Industry & Product Feeling: You have an excellent sense of consumer trends and ideally an affinity for camping, outdoor or automotive. Number understanding & analysis strength: You love data as well as products. Excel is your tool, and ideally you already have experience with ERP systems (e.g. AS400). Negotiating skills & communication: you communicate confidently, think strategically and negotiate with a secure negotiation in German and English. Ready to travel: You are looking forward to visiting your suppliers and international trade fairs on site. Team spirit: You work independently and structured, but appreciate the exchange in the team to find the best solutions together.
