Total responsibility for the strategic and operational timber purchase at a large production site Further development and implementation of purchasing strategies taking into account volatile markets and cost-relevant framework conditions Cost optimization and price stabilization by negotiation management, supplier development and consistent KPI management Construction, maintenance and further development of a regional and international supplier network (e.g. DACH, Poland, Czech Republic) Identification and qualification of alternative and second-source suppliers Control and Optimization of Transport and Logistics Processes (LKW / Full Line Delivery) Responsibility for mapping all purchasing processes in the ERP system and monitoring accounting processes Leadership and professional development of a well-established shopping team on site Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as production & factory management

Completed studies in the field of industrial, forestry and timber management or comparable qualification Finded professional experience in buying wood or raw materials, ideally in an industrial environment Impressed levels of negotiation, enforcement and secure communication at all levels Experience in controlling work with key figures, quarter targets and purchasing controlling Very good market understanding and sense for price and market movements Safe handling of ERP systems as well as very good MS-Excel and MS-Office skills Affinity for digitalization and AI-based approaches in purchasing desirable German language skills (C1) and good English skills (B2) Readiness to travel in the regional and adjacent European environment
