The Federal Real Estate Agency (BImA) is the real estate service provider of the federal government, which supports the immobility policy objectives of the federal government and provides the necessary areas and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Our business unit Bundesforst serves as a comprehensive environmental service provider for forest, openland and water areas with a unique natural equipment from the coast to the Alps. In the Federal Forestry Companies, we also ensure that the requirements of military use are agreed with the concerns of sustainable and environmentally sound land management, or that the areas of the National Natural Heritage are developed in accordance with the respective nature conservation objectives. Forstwirte und Forstwirtinnen have their jobs in the woods and are usually independent of localities in small working groups. You take care of the production of the renewable raw material wood and the maintenance, maintenance and use of our forests, which serve to protect our habitat and to rest. In order to carry out these practical activities, the motor saw is, in addition to other forestry machines and tools, the most commonly used work tool.

Practical part: The practical part of the training takes place mainly in the Grafenwöhr Federal Forestry Company in the Altenweiher training area in Vilseck-Sorghof. Theoretical part: In the form of block-instructions, the vocational training course takes place several weeks per year in the vocational school centre Schwandorf (external site Neunburg vorm Wald).
