You define and establish comprehensive technical standards for automated container handling systems (e.g. ASCs, ATTs, AGVs) and ensure their implementation across projects. You are responsible for the technical design of the systems and their implementation – from design and specification to integration, testing and commissioning. You support the seamless integration of automated systems in higher-level control levels (e.g. equipment control system). You work closely with manufacturers, system integrators and internal teams to meet security and performance requirements and continuously improve them. You develop best practices for automation and accompany implementation in the operational environment.
Qualification: a completed engineering studies, a further education for:in / Master:in or a comparable degree in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology etc. Professional Practice: Multiannual experience as an automation engineer:in, control engineer:in, system engineer, etc. in automation and operational technology, preferably in the environment container logistics / port installations Expertise: detectable experience in the implementation of automation solutions such as transport or handling systems – from design to commissioning to optimization – as well as know-how to process control/control systems, sensor technology, industrial networks and relevant safety standards Project Management: Experience in complex project environments combined with pronounced analytical skills Languages: very good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of German Mobility: readiness to travel to our terminals in Germany and abroad
