With a dedicated team, the road maintenance department ensures that our road network remains smoothly accessible and accessible at all times. Through predictive planning, regular checks and professional repair measures - from punctual repairs to large-scale refurbishment of the property - it is at the centre of urban road safety. As a technical backbone of the urban infrastructure, the specialist service ensures the sustainable maintenance and optimization of our roads, squares and walking paths and contributes significantly to maintaining and continuously improving mobility and quality of life in the city. Your tasks The task area is versatile and combines technical responsibility with organizational control. The focus is on maintaining and developing urban road infrastructure. These include in particular: the planning, tendering and awarding of maintenance, repair and refurbishment measures, including the creation of performance directories and award documents, as well as the selection of appropriate procedures and designs; the acquisition of the contractor's representation as well as the technical control and monitoring of conservation measures in relation to quality, dates and costs; close cooperation and coordination with internal specialist services, external utilities, engineering offices, supervisory authorities and with arsons; ensuring traffic safety on municipal roads through short-term risk mitigation measures and through systematic detection of defects and documentation; the preparation of technical opinions, reports and presentations as well as the advice of the technical and administrative management; the participation in budgeting, cost management and budget monitoring; active cooperation in the development of technical standards and the introduction and use of digital systems and procedures in the field of road maintenance.

Formal conditions a completed study of the field of civil engineering with the focus on road construction or a comparable subject Specialist /// Personal /// Social competences well-founded knowledge in road construction, public procurement law (VOB), project management and construction monitoring very good German knowledge in word and writing at least level C1 (Common European Framework for Languages) high level of responsibility, self-initiative and decision-making strong team skills and secure communication with internal and external contacts Willingness to actively take up technical developments and advance digitalisation in road entertainment
