ODU develops and produces high-performance connectors and customized cable assemblies that reliably transmit even demanding high-speed protocols such as USB 3.2 Gen 1x1. In order for each product to meet the high quality requirements, precise S-parameter measurements are carried out in the company's own laboratory with the latest vectorial network analyzers – for maximum performance, tested to the last detail. The aim of the final work is to develop an automated evaluation of the measurements and thus to carry out existing operations more efficiently. For this purpose, a program (Python) is to be created which determines the measurement setup and the transmission protocol by the user via a graphical surface, enters measurement data in the touchstone format and finally outputs measurement curves of individual S parameters over the frequency. The S parameters must be compared to predefined limits. In addition, it must be possible to create new limit value packages for new protocols.
