Your environment The HRZ enables discoveries of tomorrow with IT from today – join us in the team basic services. Here you will control the group, operate Linux systems, clusters and databases and develop concepts for our applications, such as the identity and access management system and the virtualization environment. Team management and operational management: personnel management, management and operational planning, as well as active cooperation with the HRZ-internal contract and financial management Operation and development of central IT systems: Responsibility for the operation and continuous development of our Linux server environment (including cluster solutions) Directory Services and Identity and Access Management (IAM) System: Ensuring stable operation and continuous improvement of our central directory service (openLDAP) and the IAM system (NetIQ) Virtualization Platform: Secure stable operation and continuous improvement of our central virtualization platform (VMware) AI Services and Future Technologies: Conception and Technical Implementation of Innovative GPU Platforms Project Management: Controlling ongoing IT projects and planning and implementation of new, modern IT services also using and coordinating external service providers User support: Second-level support for our users to ensure our high service quality for the services and systems of the group

Completed relevant university studies or equivalent skills and experience demonstrated by long-term professional activity Long-standing, practical experience in personnel management and IT administration Excellent knowledge in architecture, design, implementation and operation of Linux servers Virtualization/container environments, cluster systems, database management Very good knowledge of data archiving and storage systems as well as networks and network protocols Good knowledge of developments in the AI environment, in particular hardware Good knowledge of script/programming languages Basic knowledge of alternative operating systems (Windows) is desirable Practice-proven control skills in IT projects and in the use of service providers Knowledge on current topics of IT security Very good German language skills (at least level C1) Good English knowledge of word and writing Organizational talent, high service orientation and a quick understanding Analysis and communication talent as well as a solution- and result-oriented operation
