Head of Department Fieldwork (Educational Studies)

The IEA is an independent, non-profit research organization. We conduct major international and national comparative studies on pupil performance and other aspects of education to explore, understand and improve education worldwide. In the IEA Hamburg, more than 150 employees are involved in the planning and implementation of the various study tasks, ranging from sampling to data analysis. We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) Head of field work (education studies)

The field work department is responsible for preparing the educational studies carried out by IEA Hamburg in Germany (including PISA, NEPS, TIMSS). The preparation begins with detailed study and time planning and ends with the data collection at schools or other educational institutions. The department currently comprises 24 employees, of which eight persons are located in the Test Manager Coordination Department, which is run by a section line.

You are a leader... with several years of experience in the management and management of a department with proven knowledge in managing projects ideally with experience in the field of empirical educational research with pronounced judgement and decision-making and a high degree of solution orientation that it is used to move in complexity and constantly prioritize with high customer orientation and willingness to build and maintain professional relationships with excellent communication skills in German and ideally English, oral and written with openness for a close cooperation between the various departments of the IEA Hamburg and with the leadership of the IEA
