Senior Application Engineer / Application Engineer for Truck & Trailer (m/f/d)

Application Engineering for roller and wheel bearings in the Truck & Trailer segment Regular meetings with customers’ technical teams and program teams to establish ILJIN as a preferred warehouse supplier Management and documentation of engineering activities from the start of the business request to the end of the production as part of the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Management of customer timings and the technical expectations and disclosure of critical points to the corresponding team members Responsibility for the technical customer relationship, supported by the product development team (design, CAE, tests etc.) Expansion of the relationship with the customer's management levels to promote the image of ILJIN and increase our influence Cooperation with the teams for warehouse production, design and quality to solve quality and performance related problems Identification of potentials for the development and introduction of new innovations to customers

Knowledge of rolling bearing technology (ball roller bearing, groove ball bearing, cylinder roller bearing) and applications in the commercial vehicle industry, trucks, trailers and axle are absolutely necessary Strong technical skills and problem solving capabilities to effectively interpret and share results from internal technical reports Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Knowledge of project management is mandatory Flowing German and Business English in Word and Writing Ability to proactively address tasks, advance and complete projects Embossed self-management and time management skills Ability to understand technical details and communicate effectively Good communication skills in dealing with customers to develop ideas and strengthen the image of ILJIN as a technical market leader Adaptability and sensitivity to other cultures (especially Koreans) to ensure positive cooperation Flexible and independent operation in compliance with management guidelines Work in a fast-paced team environment to ensure that all measures are consistent and coherent and support the team's orientation Ready to travel worldwide to support customers and ILJIN Ability to understand technical issues to support recommendations, implementations and provision of storage solutions for customers
