At the University of Bielefeld you have the chance to help shape the construction of a modern human medicine faculty. The team of the Research & Career Development Unit of the Faculty of Medicine OWL supports researchers in the recruitment and implementation of research projects, networking and cooperation as well as in their scientific career development. A lecturer for the doctoral and habilitation office for the support and advice of the various target groups in the scientific qualification will be requested. At the interface between the Faculty of Medicine and the Clinics of the University Hospital OWL (UK OWL) as well as the Center for Heart and Diabetes NRW (HDZ), you will find a challenging and exciting activity in an interdisciplinary team with open and value-adding discussion culture. Conceptual further development of programs and procedures for academic career development at the Faculty (Promotion, Habilitation, APL) Advising students, doctoral students, postdocs / clinician scientists as well as carrying out information and networking events and designing the information offer on the homepage Preparation and monitoring of the relevant committees and commissions Networking and cooperation in the field of scientific career development with various institutions and networks within and outside the university In addition, you support the management of the Research and Career Development Unit both conceptually and organizationally in the field of career development.

We expect completed relevant academic studies (e.g. Master or Diploma) preferably in life sciences, health sciences or medicine Experience in science management Knowledge of the science firm / Higher education High level of team capacity, planning and organisational capability Ability to solve innovative problems Responsible and reliable work Embossed communicative skills Very good knowledge of German as well as good knowledge of English (in word and writing) Comprehensive MS Office Knowledge Gender and diversity competence We wish completed PhD in Life Sciences, Health Sciences or Medicine Proven professional experience with reference to the task field Experiences in the field of scientific career development / academic procedures (promotions and habilitations) or own research experience (ideally in the field of medical or medical research) Knowledge of university medical structures, processes and career paths
