Manager Forwarding (m/f/d)

Technical and disciplinary management of the Forwarding organization unit at the Hürth site, including the integrated Stade site. Overall responsibility for the economic development of the branch by achieving sales and earnings targets and continuous increase in operational efficiency by means of process optimization, cost control and optimal resource allocation. Development and implementation of the tactical and strategic orientation of the area of responsibility in close cooperation with the Operations Europe Manager. Ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term customer loyalty through excellent service as well as solution-oriented customer management. Active participation in the development of the establishment and the organisation, including cross-departmental projects and bodies. Promoting and anchoring a value-oriented corporate culture, characterized by customer centering, responsibility, courage, team spirit, trust and ambition. Further development of a modern, value-adding and performance-oriented leadership culture as well as promotion and development of employees.

Qualification Successfully completed studies of business management or a comparable qualification; alternative a commercial training, ideally in the field of forwarding and logistics. Multiannual professional experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. Multiannual leadership experience with personnel responsibility for teams with more than ten employees. Experience in managing budgets as well as responsibility for earnings and costs. Funded business knowledge and experience in the number-based company management. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge in chemical logistics as well as in hazardous goods are desirable. Good knowledge of English (at least level B2); further foreign languages are advantageous. Personal competencies Representative leadership and communication skills.
