The specialist clinic Katzenelnbogen is an acute clinic in private sponsorship with currently 175 employees. The facility has existed for over 140 years and is one of the oldest specialist hospitals for psychiatry and psychotherapy in Germany. As a Rhineland-Palatinate hospital, the specialist clinic carries out acute hospital treatment according to § 108 SGB V for regulated and privately insured patients. The open hospital comprises 77 beds, a daily clinic with 22 treatment sites and an affiliated psychiatric institute collective office which is authorized for treatment under § 118 SGB V. We have expanded our offer through a neuropsychiatric daily clinic with associated general psychoatrical ambulance at the Nassau site. In the daily clinic, mentally ill people are preferably treated with congenital or acquired brain damage. In addition to this focus, the associated institute's collective work is also available for general psychiatric care. The development of the daily clinic is accompanied as a model project scientifically and integrate neurological, psychiatric and complementary treatment approaches. .
