Head of Department Mandatory Corporate Actions (m/f/d)

In our 31-member team for mandatory capital measures, everything is about the professional handling of complex events in the life cycle of a securities. We serve a wide range of mandatory exchanges and name disclosures, including splits, reverse splits, unbundling, mergers, rectifications, mergers, mergers, liquidations, and publications in the fund sector. In addition, we will work agilely and will work with clearly defined agile rollers in the future. This will further develop the classic guide role. In order to continue successfully fulfilling our mission in an increasingly complex and dynamic environment, we are looking for a person who wants to take responsibility for leadership – strategically, professionally and with a clear view for cooperation and further development in the team: Leadership & Development: You lead the department in the sense of Servant Leadership, give birth and create the framework where employees can take responsibility and make independent decisions. At the same time, you will accompany the team on this path, provide clear guidelines if necessary and guide specific targets for the department from the corporate strategy. Regular employee talks as well as annual discussions on personal and professional development are of course part of this. Management of the daily business: Together with the specialist area managers, you keep the organization of the daily business in mind, support bottlenecks and ensure that priorities are clearly set and reliably maintained. Developing processes & systems: With interest in efficient processes, you will be able to further develop the processes and structures. You are setting impulses, supporting optimizations and enabling the team to implement improvements. Control risks consciously: In a professionally sensitive environment, you’ll ensure transparency about risks and help the team identify and reduce them at an early stage. Here you will find a good balance between innovation and stability and, if necessary, bring you into company-wide risk meetings. Cooperation with Head of Department & Management: You regularly report to the area management, prepare basis for decision-making and support them in the context of overarching topics. For selected questions, you also work directly with senior stakeholders such as top management. Keep an eye on costs: You have a look at the costs of your department and contribute to using resources appropriately and economically – always with the aim of creating a good balance between quality, stability and efficiency. Projects & Examinations accompany: Internal and external exams accompany your team in this context. In addition, you can place the role as client in project steering circles in order to effectively represent the interests of your department or area.

You have a bank-based training or a degree course and you bring well-founded experience in the field of securities. Ideally, you have already worked with capital measures or you want to work intensively into this exciting topic and quickly acquire the necessary knowledge. Leadership is a familiar environment for you – either through multiannual experience or through first touch points that have awakened your desire to take responsibility for people and to develop you in your leadership role. Ideally, you have already worked with agile working methods, rolls or structures. More importantly, however, is that you want to actively shape this path and promote new forms of cooperation. Whether oral or written – you speak fluent German (C1) and bring good English skills (B2). You communicate clearly, empathically and connecting. Take your team along the path of change, bring different perspectives together, and at the same time perform confidently over interfaces, management and other areas. You recognize risks early on, take different action options and quickly meet well-founded decisions. Complex or novel questions you analyze quickly, trade pragmatically and keep an overview even in dynamic situations. You want to move something, have joy of change, and introduce new impulses. You do not lose sight of the great whole, nor the people, and together with your team implement ideas into practice.
