International Category Manager:in (m/f/d)

As International Category Manager:in - Customer Solutions (m/w/d) you are responsible for the implementation of strategic and operational purchasing activities for the Customer Solutions (e.g., near and district heating) product group and as a constructive Sparring Partner of the Supply Chain in cross-functional project teams. This position is limited by the end of 2028 due to parental leave.

You carry out the operational purchasing processes (concerning/market analysis, information requests, tenders, negotiations, contract design and supplier and contract implementation) in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders.

Together with the team, you manage the supplier market with regard to procurement risks and the development of new and competitive sources of procurement.

When defining and implementing the purchasing strategy, you support regional requirements and needs.

Between project teams and the International and Regional Category Managers, you coordinate the procurement activities.

By implementing and using suitable value levers, you contribute to the achievement of identified value creation and savings targets - including the implementation of developed measures and tools for cost and value optimization.

You measure and monitor the performance of our suppliers using appropriate key figures and regularly discuss results and developments with your key suppliers.

Our stakeholders will assist you in the creation of functional and technical requirements (e.g. in the review of specifications), implementation of the contract, contract management and other suppliers-related topics.

You can have several years of professional experience in strategic and operational purchasing, according to well-founded expertise and expertise in handling high purchasing volumes and ideally have knowledge (suppliers, markets, trends) in the relevant business environment.

You bring a successfully completed study (technical or commercial) or comparable training, are open to Germany-wide readiness (occasionally) and have very good English skills.
