Head of Heat Supply Department (m/f/d)

Strategic and operational management of the department; Leadership, development and motivation of an interdisciplinary team of technology, operation, maintenance and planning Further development of the energy and supply infrastructure (in particular heat supply, heat networks) and expansion of the heat business segment in the context of energy transition, climate neutrality and sustainable resource use Control and implementation of transformation, development and construction projects for plants and networks, including project development and management Ensuring safe, efficient and permit-compliant operation of all plants (e.g. BHKW, biomass and heat pumps) Digitization and optimization of operating processes as well as introduction and further development of digital systems for efficiency and quality improvement Responsibility for economic planning, budget and key figures; regular reporting to sector management Cooperation with internal departments, external stakeholders and authorities to prepare strategic decisions at management level

Complete technical studies (e.g. engineering, supply engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering) or equivalent qualification Multiannual leadership experience in a comparable position, ideally in the energy or supply industry Knowledge of district heating, combined heat, heat generation and grid operation Safe handling of legal, technical and regulatory frameworks of energy supply and knowledge of current developments in heat transfer Experience in managing complex projects for the expansion and operation of heat networks and heat generation plants Impressed leadership skills, communication strength and team orientation Responsible, solution-oriented operation and negotiation skills in dealing with external partners, service providers and authorities Willingness to participate in the call readiness service
