Employee MD Management / Coding Specialist (m/f/d)

Independent and case-accompanying coding of stationary and outpatient treatment cases according to the applicable rules (ICD, OPS and G-DRG system) Examination of medical documentation for completeness, plausibility, coding relevance and redemption and ensuring an appropriate and billable case coding taking into account legal and contractual requirements Close cooperation with doctors, nurses and other professional groups to optimise the quality of documentation and coding Consultation and support of all clinical areas in medical documentation and coding for reliable documentation of treatment procedures Co-operation and design of coding and documentation processes and their continuous development Self-responsible processing and coordination of medical service testing (MD) Analysis of MD assessments and testing of cuts and complaints Creation and coordination of opinions in cooperation with the department responsible Support and accompaniment in the enforcement of legitimate compensation claims against cost-holders Communication with cost carriers and the medical service Examination and assessment of medical documentation regarding its MD relevance Identification of documentation and process optimization potentials for reducing MD complaints from the test results and deriving appropriate improvement measures Participation in the development and implementation of strategies to secure revenue Training on documentation and audit topics Close exchange in the areas of care, medical service, coding, medical controlling, MD management and quality management

Successfully completed medical and commercial training, or comparable qualification Ideally advanced training in medical controlling, clinical coding, MD management or comparable qualification Good knowledge of hospital billing, codes and relevant legal bases Experience in handling test methods of advantage Safe handling of hospital information systems and common MS Office applications Impressed communication skills and team spirit
