Management of the Humboldt Centre (m/f/d)

The University of Bayreuth is a research-oriented university with internationally competitive and interdisciplinary profile fields in research and teaching. From 01.11.2026 we are looking for our research centre

In parttime with 50% (20,0500 hours/week) of regular working time. The site is project-related until 31.12.2032. The aim of the Bayreuth Humboldt Centre is to strengthen interdisciplinary research in cooperation with international, excellent scientists. The Centre finances stays of top international scientists at the UBT for a few weeks to several months. UBT researchers also have the opportunity to carry out cooperative workshops at the UBT together with international colleagues.

Head of office Strategic, conceptual and organisational development of the Centre Close cooperation with and support of the two scientific directors Coordination and further development of all program lines Organisation and management of selection sessions Advising internal and external applicants and support for the beneficiaries Administrative coordination of the budget Implementation and further development of the public work strategy

Completed academic degree (master, diploma or comparable) Experiences in science management and/or research Structured mode of operation and pronounced organisational capacity High level of communication and cooperation Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, further language skills are advantageous
