Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d)

Branch: Transport and logistics Branch: Transport and logistics

About us Ready to shape the future with us? At Hellmann, our employees are at the centre of all our actions – because relationships count for us. Being part of Hellmann means more than just getting into a global company. It is an invitation to shape the future of the logistics industry together with us. Our Hellmann culture is based on four values: caring, entrepreneurial, forward-thinking and reliable. You find yourself in these values? Then become part of our FAMILY – with around 10,000 employees at more than 200 locations worldwide. For the better. Together.

The professional image of the software developer changes just faster than in the last twenty years. Write code is increasingly delegated. What remains and gains importance: the ability to set the right context, evaluate results and understand systems as a whole.

At Hellmann we are working on the fact that this change does not remain an abstract topic of the future for our product development. We are currently actively working on the tools and procedures — across all eight product teams that develop at our new transport management system for European land transport.

What is needed for us now are developers who are interested in two things at the same time: penetrate a complex specialist domain and continuously question their own way of working.

You work in the Order Management team - responsible for order management, tracking and integration with the LegacyTMS. The team is cross-functional, with Product Owner and UX design. Self-organization means that you bear responsibility from conception to operation.

Stack

Backend: Java, Kotlin, Kafka (Event Streaming) · Frontend: Angular, Angular Material · Databases: MongoDB/DocumentDB, PostgreSQL · Platform: AWS, Kubernetes · Observability: Prometheus, Grafana
