Coding Specialist / Medical Documentation Assistant - Head and Neurocenter (m/f/d)

The head and neurocentre of the UKE unites the clinics and polyclinics for neurology, neurosurgery, for neck, nasal and ear medicine, for oral, jaw and facial surgery and for ophthalmology. This is expected Due to the primary coding of medical and other medical diagnosis, treatments, medications as well as nursing services, if necessary in coordination with the doctors: you are directly involved in our success. Your future activities include: Primary encoding of stationary hospital cases based on documentation in compliance with the applicable coding guidelines / case-accompanying and retrospective Optimization of proceeds by: Case check based on file with respect to plausibility and completeness Determination and coding of procedures carried out on the basis of OP reports Case meetings for the definition of diagnosis for coding Selection of alternative diagnoses for encoding, in consultation with med. Error analyses and clarification of deviations

Communication with the medical controller Inquiries of missing proof of performance, findings, medical letters and incorrect or incomplete documentation Execution of the reception, if necessary in consultation with the attending physicians:in the various areas of the head and neurocentre

Completed training for:medical documentation assistant:in with relevant professional experience or equivalent skills and experience, e.g. in health and nursing, in combination with a further training for clinical/medical codier professional (codier subject course) Ideally, you have good knowledge and experience in medical documentation, medical nomenclature, accounting and case management as well as several years of professional experience in primary coding (ICD/OPS/DRG) Comprehensive understanding of medical-care terminology Remarkable: safe handling of MS Office as well as experience with SAP ISH knowledge, mymedis Social competence, cooperation, communication, coordination, team and organization skills, sense of responsibility, self-sufficiency and a quick understanding, we set ahead
