Integration Assistant

Who we are:

The Weberhof is a private institution of free youth assistance. Through a family-oriented setting-up concept in rural idyll, we specialize in the long-term individual care and promotion of young people who have experienced early childhood traumas through violence, detention or neglect. Our concept is based on the trauma pedagogical approach, animal-assisted pedagogy and is supplemented by various therapeutic offers on site.

For a raised 5-year-old boy in the kindergarten we are looking for a dedicated integration aid that individually accompanies him in everyday life. The aim is to strengthen its participation, promote self-regulation and systematically develop its sustainable integration into the kindergarten community.

Your tasks

• Accompanied in kindergarten everyday: give orientation, secure structure, attract attention, allow for peace islands.
• Promote self-control: impulse control, transitions master, develop strategies against over-request.
• Strengthen social cooperation: communication initiation, moderation of contacts, conflict prevention and deescalation.
• secure participation and integration: active integration into rituals, group work and projects; Guided tours.
• cooperation in the system: continuous, estimating exchange with other professionals, parents and therapists; course-related documentation.
• make rules and rituals transparent and support their compliance.

Focus: Integration into the group structure

• The aim is the social-emotional and labour-related inclusion of the boy in the existing group structure.
• To do this, you will create supportive learning and interaction settings (e.g. small-step group work phases, clearly structured roles in cooperative learning forms) and support peer relationships through guided, positive contact events.
• They promote group climate-relevant competences (e.g. frustration tolerance, perspective acceptance, clarity of rule) and affect consistent expectations between kindergarten, parental home and help system.
• They work resource-oriented, strengthen self-effectiveness experiences and use ritualized processes to establish liability and belonging.
• In close coordination with the kindergarten management, you adapt support intensity and form situative (scaffolding, step-by-step retreat with increasing autonomy).

What you bring

• Completed pedagogical qualification (e.g. educators, nurses, social pedagogues, medical pedagogues) or comparable qualification.
• Experience in working with children with support needs, ideally in the context of inclusion/ADHS.
• An open, friendly and resilient personality with empathy and consistent action.
• Very good knowledge of German, reflected, independent working and the ability to integrate into existing structures.
• Understanding educational funding opportunities and enjoying teamwork and further development.
