Universitätsmedizin Göttingen (UMG) is well known for its high degree of innovation in research. The transfer of research results into economic exploitation and clinical application should be anchored as an equitable pillar alongside research, teaching and health care in a sustainable and institutional way. Against this background and as part of the future strategy of the UMG in research, teaching, medical care and transfer, the research and teaching department at the management level reorganised the position of a Dean of Transfer and a Dean of Transfer as a central administrative unit. These structures are in future responsible for embedding technology transfer, innovation and commercialization in the academic and clinical mandate of the UMG. For this strategically and administratively demanding task, we are looking for a management as a lead for the transfer deanate. Operational and strategic-conceptual support of the Dean for Transfer and the Management Board Research and Teaching Leadership and coordination of personnel in the transfer deanate Establishment, organisation and strategic orientation of the newly founded deanate for transfer Academic, administrative and clinical integration of the transfer at the interface between transfer deanate, researchers and clinicians, the Technology Transfer Office (TTO)/UMG-Accelerator, facultary commissions and the science administration in the Research and Teaching department as well as in the Department of Economics and Administration Screening for potential third-party funding (Land, Bund, EU) for early transfer projects and support for UMG working groups in the application of transfer projects in consultation with the research management and the UMG accelerator Organisation and coordination of the optional translation board to prepare board decisions for patent applications Cooperation with other academic institutions at Göttingen Campus, Lower Saxony and beyond Implementation of training modules for students in the field of transfer

Completed academic studies with doctoral degree, preferably with a scientific or biomedical background Multiannual professional experience in technology transfer, ideally in a university or research environment Knowledge of academic processes in the university environment or relevant professional experience in the science management of a university Experience in building and managing a new organizational unit Designed strategic, analytical and conceptual skills Excellent communication and cooperation skills leadership qualities, resilience, discretion and sense of responsibility Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
