At the Department of International Relations of the University of Heidelberg, the following place (75 %, 29,625 hours per week) is to be filled indefinitely:

Akademische Leiter / Teamleiter (w/m/d) International holiday course for German language and culture

Your tasks:

• Academic preparation, implementation and follow-up of the "International Holiday Course for German Language and Culture" at Heidelberg University, which takes place each year in August with some 600 participants from all over the world. • Development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning concepts
• Creation and coordination of course offer, advertising materials, websites
• Acquisition of teachers
• Instructions of the team Holiday course incl. leadership responsibility of up to two employees as well as scientific assistants and honorary staff
• preparation of reports and evaluations on quality assurance and further development of the course offer

Your profile:

• Academic Higher Education in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or Romance Studies, Slavistics, Anglistik, Gymnasial Lehramt Deutsch with the additional qualification DaF
• Promotion of Advantage
• Specific and deepened technical and didactic qualification in the field of German as a foreign language
• Experience in the planning and implementation of international educational programmes
• Very good knowledge of English, at least good knowledge of one or more other modern foreign languages
• Intercultural competence and experience in dealing with international students
• organisational skills, team skills and independent working
• readiness for flexible working hours, especially during the course period
