Category Manager hümS* (m/f/d)

You control the strategic purchasing processes of the associated portfolio (hümS - commercial vehicles with special military equipment) across the company and derive necessary measures based on defined key figures, always in line with the corporate strategy. You develop the applied purchasing methods as well as the procured and to be procured products and services in close cooperation with the stakeholders. You are responsible for the implementation of tenders, including demand and market analyses, the development of procurement strategies and the preparation of tender documents, taking into account the statutory requirements. You are involved in projects, initiatives and continuous improvement processes and are providing advice to internal customers as competent contact person/ competent contact person. You continuously observe market performance in the relevant portfolio, document it and ensure the internal provision and use of the knowledge gained. You are responsible for supplier management and coordinate contract management in the assigned portfolio, including coordination with strategic quality management and project management.

You have a completed (professional) degree or a comparable qualification. You have several years of relevant professional experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the automotive environment or fleet management. You bring well-founded expertise in strategic purchasing, ideally acquired in an in-house company of the federal government. You convince by deep technical and business knowledge related to the portfolio. Ideally, you have advanced knowledge in procurement law and use them safely and purposefully.
