Team Leader Strategic Purchasing (m/f/d)

Dana Incorporated is an internationally active company in the automotive supply industry. For the Neu-Ulm site, we are looking for an experienced team leader in Strategic Purchasing (m/w/d) Direct Material.

In this responsible management position, you take on a central role in strategic purchasing and connect employee management, strategic procurement management and international supplier management. You develop purchasing strategies for defined product groups, manage supplier relationships and work continuously to optimize costs and procurement processes.

You will report to the European Purchasing Manager and assume both the technical and disciplinary responsibility for your employees.

You take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of your employees and promote their continuous development. For the product groups assigned to you, develop and implement strategic purchasing concepts taking into account the global supplier mastery and the respective purchasing volume. As part of the procurement process, you carry out offer requests and cost analyses, taking into account competitive offers and total cost. You negotiate and manage supply contracts and take into account price, quality and delivery conditions as well as minimizing relevant risks. Together with cross-functional teams, you are responsible for the selection and evaluation of suppliers. In order to achieve global and regional purchasing goals, you initiate and implement targeted cost reduction measures. In addition, monitor the supplier performance and report on supplier performance, savings projects and contract-relevant key figures. With Lean methods, benchmarking and value analysis (VA/VE), you are driving forward the continuous improvement and optimization of the purchasing processes.

You have a successfully completed degree in supply chain management, purchasing or engineering, for example with a focus on production or production technology. Alternatively, you can bring a comparable qualification. Multiannual professional experience in strategic purchasing and leadership responsibility form the basis for this position. Experience in an international environment is advantageous. Embossed analytical skills combine with practical experience in contract negotiations and supplier management. In everyday professional life you work safely with SAP and MS Office. Negotiating German and English skills enable professional communication in the international shopping area.
