Uniface Engineer (m/f/d)

You take end-to-end responsibility for selected modules of M1 PRO, our long established, uniface-based practice information system, and deliver high-quality changes to which thousands of practices rely daily. You modernize and refactor existing Uniface code bases, increase the wartability and, together with the M1 Pro team, stabilize critical workflows in outpatient everyday life. You work closely with the architecture and the AI-full stack team, integrate Uniface modules with modern Java/Quarkus services and AI-driven workflows and connect M1 PRO with Gematik TI, ePA and the GDT/LDT/xDT ecosystem. You use Claude Code and AI agents in a targeted manner to significantly accelerate analysis, refactoring and documentation of the existing Uniface code and to play back gained insights into the team. You actively shape the long-term evolution strategy of M1 PRO and find the balance between reliable delivery and gradual modernization of the platform.

Multiannual experience on senior levels in Uniface development, ideally in business-critical, long-lasting application systems with high availability. Complete university studies in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, electrical engineering or a comparable technical course with very good services. Deep understanding of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and deployment and integration patterns around Uniface; safe handling of version management, build and delivery processes; effective use of AI tools in software engineering, ideally including Claude Code (Agents, Skills, Workflows), AI pipelines and context engineering. German and fluent English in word and writing, so that you can communicate both in the international environment and with German-speaking customers.
