''Research for a life without cancer'' is our task at the German Cancer Research Centre. We are investigating how cancer arises, finding cancer risk factors and looking for new strategies to prevent people from suffering from cancer. We are developing new methods that allow tumours to be more precise and cancer patients to be treated more effectively. In order to strengthen the team of our internal revision, we are looking for a:n interior supervisor:in (m/w/d) from September 2025. Reference number: 2025-0151 The core task of the internal revision is the support of the Board of Trustees in its monitoring function. Within the scope of this task, the internal audit provides independent and objective auditing and consulting services aimed at creating added value and improving business processes. It supports the achievement of the objectives of the DKFZ by assessing and improving the effectiveness of risk management, controls and management and monitoring processes with a systematic and targeted approach. The focus is on both the objective examination and the presentation of action alternatives and recommendations that lead to trusting cooperation with management.

Self-assessment of audit topics according to annual audit plans approved by the Management Board or special audits and consulting services, including in the areas of financial and accounting, technical infrastructure, construction and IT Risk-oriented assessment of the economic viability, regularity, plausibility and safety of the respective test area Assessment of the functionality and reliability of internal control and information systems Detection and investigation of individual risks, weaknesses and irregularities Documentation of audit and consulting results Development of recommendations for action and suggestions for optimization from the audit findings Independent preparation of revision reports

Completed business FH/BA degree, preferably with a focus from the IT sector Relevant professional experience, preferably in the fields of construction and/or IT revision Professional practice in a publicly funded research institution Safe handling of MS Office and ideally also with SAP as well as sound IT skills Good knowledge of English in word and writing and good German knowledge Analytical thinking and conceptual, self-responsibility Very good expressiveness in word and writing Power of persuasion and enforcement Team orientation Self-employment, expertise, social competence, binding occurrence, integrity, objectivity and confidentiality
