Our scientific network and our services are subject to constant change. Innovative technologies and application scenarios want to be evaluated, introduced and operated. We are looking for you to actively support us in this exciting task. Be an active part in shaping and supporting this change!

In your hands lie:

• Operation and further development of the IP router platform (Nokia 7750 Service router and Cisco NCS5700) and the DWDM platform (Ribbon)
• Evaluation and evaluation of new solutions for the further development of the scientific network
• Participation in the automation of network operation
• Consultation and support of universities and research institutions in relation to the network services of the DFN agreement
• Coordination and cooperation with internal and external service providers
• Maintaining network and service documentation
• Participation in readiness (2nd line)

This is ideally brought with you:

• vocational training or studies in technical or scientific
• Area or a comparable qualification
• Multiannual professional experience in the service provider or datacenter environment
• deepened knowledge and multiannual practice in routing and switching (MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and VPN) or ROADM-based optical transport networks (DWDM, OTN)
• Experiences with the safe operation of networks according to ISO 27001 or BSI IT basic protection)
• very good German and good English skills
